Azamara Club Cruises is a relatively new premium brand within the cruise market having been established in 2007. Azamara is owned by Royal Caribbean but offers a very different experience. Azamara have a fleet of two smaller ships: Azamara Quest and Azamara Journey. They carry less than 700 guests which creates an intimate atmosphere and more personal service from friendly staff.
As Azamara’s cruise ships are smaller, it means their itineraries can be more varied as they can reach destinations that only smaller ships can reach. While there may only be two ships, Azamara Club Cruise explore the world and visit Australia & New Zealand, Asia, the Mediterranean, Europe, the Caribbean as well as Central and North America.
As you might expect from a top end cruise line, there are a number of inclusions within the price such as selected spirits, wines and beers as well as bottled water, soft drinks and speciality teas and coffees. You’ll also find gratuities included to as well as some other services such as shuttles.
Azamara are perhaps best known for ‘Destination Immersion’, focusing on the cruise port and experiences within a destination that allow you to experience it like a local. On around half of the ports Azamara visits, you will either stay overnight or not leave before 8pm. As part of Azamara’s ‘Destination Immersion’, this premium cruise line offer complimentary ‘Azamazing Evenings’. You could be listening to Three Tenors on a hillside in Tuscany or receiving the red carpet treatment before a concert in St Petersburg.
